Qualified & Experienced Occupational Therapists in Dandenong
At a2z Health Group, we work closely alongside children, adolescents and adults who are either recovering from a temporary or long-term injury, or living with disability. Our dedicated occupational therapists are highly committed to supporting our patients on their journey to engaging and participating in everyday life, particularly in the areas of self-care, productivity and leisure.
When you seek treatment from our occupational therapists (located in Dandenong), we prescribe a series of specific activities or “occupations” as a means of rehabilitation and promotion of physical and mental well-being. Our services may also involve supporting you with strategies, assistive technology/equipment or modification of the environment to better enable you.
The main goal behind this is to enable and empower people of all abilities to participate in the activities of everyday life, whatever that may be for you. At a2z Health Group, our entire team believes in a holistic and person-centred focus when it comes to assisting you and your loved ones in developing independence and overall well-being.
Occupational therapist services for kids and adolescents
Our occupational therapists work with people of all ages – we can help infants, children and adolescents in supporting their ability to participate in daily life activities such as self-care, productivity (i.e. school) and leisure.
Pediatric occupational therapists work collaboratively with your child, family, schools, teachers and any other health professionals involved with your child’s care to plan and implement strategies/interventions. This plan aims to enable you and your child to participate in activities at home, in school or wherever your child would like to thrive!
We adopt a play-based approach to intervention, as it provides a fun and engaging experience for your child to learn and develop important life skills, including:
Occupational therapist services for adults and older adults
Our occupational therapists also work with adults and older adults of all abilities to maximise independence, and improve physical and mental well-being. We work closely alongside you to identify your strengths, and the barriers in your environment which may be preventing you from doing what you want/need to do. From here, we can help you work out practical solutions to overcoming these challenges, based on your individual circumstances.
